AMMAN, JORDAN April 02, 2018:: All preparations to hold the Third 3-Day Asian Women Sports Journalists Workshop being jointly arranged by AIPS ASIA and Asian Football Confederation AFC at Amman; the capital of Jordan from April 3-5, have been given final touches. Simultaneously, the women football journalists supposed to cover Asian Women Football Championship have started reaching Amman as well. The workshop will also be attended by the delegates from Iran and Lebanon.
It merits a mention here that AIPS ASIA; the representative body of sports journalists of the continent had concluded an agreement with AFC in the beginning of this year under which they would jointly work for training and capacity building of the writers of Football with the basic aim to further develop their skills for covering its international events and the workshop is first of its kind in the series of events to be taking place in future.
Selection of a prominent hotel of Amman as the venue of the workshop is being judged a best choice to offering congenial atmosphere of learning where delegates from Japan, China, Korea, Iran, Lebanon as well as the host country, Jordan will be under a single roof for three days. Apart from Emilia Aurora, Media and Communication Manager of AFC as well as the nominated Media Officer for the Asian Women Football Championship, Hiba Sabbagh coupled with Dr. Sri Hamdan, Vice President of Jordan Olympic Association, Amjad Al Majali, President, Jordan Sports Information Federation, the inaugural ceremony of the event will also be attended by Amjad Aziz Malik, Secretary General of AIPS ASIA.
Further, during the second session of the workshop, the local experts of various aspects of the game will deliver lectures on its media coverage techniques. Meanwhile the delegates will also be taken to the International Football Stadium as well as other establishments and facilities of the game at Amman.
